ASU FIELD HOCKEY HOME

February 9-10, 2008

TOURNAMENT DESCRIPTION

We have once again secured our home field, the Arizona State University Astroturf - it is 80 yards by 60 yards. The format will be 9-a-side (includes the goalie).

We also have a grass pitch adjacent to the Astroturf. Based on the number of teams and the schedule, each team may have to play at the most, one game on grass. Games will begin at 8:00 am each day. The tournament will be over around 4:00 pm Sunday. National hockey rules will apply.

DIVISIONS

Mixed Social, Women, U-16, U-19. Minimum of 4 teams to complete a division.

All teams will be guaranteed at least 4 games over the two days. Teams will be registered on a first come first serve basis. The tournament will be a round robin or divisional format, depending on the number of registered teams. The top teams will be presented with an award for each player.

REGISTRATION

Team registration and entry fee deadline is January 19, 2008. Registration will be limited to the first teams that submit a registration form with a team fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel prior to February 2nd your fees will be returned, less $50 for administrative costs. If you cancel your registration AFTER February 2nd, you will forfeit your registration fee! Cancellations can be made via email or phone.

UMPIRES

Each team will provide at least one official to umpire matches during the tournament.

Accommodations have been secured at Best Western Inn of Tempe, 670 North Scottsdale Road. There is a block of rooms under ASU FIELD HOCKEY 2008, $95/night + tax which includes breakfast.

GENERAL INFORMATION

After receiving your completed registration form and team fee, an e-mail will be sent confirming your registration. Follow-up tournament materials will be sent after the field of teams is finalized.
