The ASU Field Hockey club promotes the growth of field hockey here at ASU and in the greater Phoenix community. Comprised of both ASU students and community members, the team welcomes both experienced and casual players.

In addition to practicing weekly, the club hosts an annual tournament, participates in fundraising events, and travels to various competitions in the western region.

ASU Sun Devils won Silver at Cal Cup 2008. Hats off the the girls for playing the entire tournament without a sub. And thanks to Ella for stepping up and playing.

The 2008 Arizona Showdown was won by Monarcas from California. They defeated Ringers 2-0 in the finals.

The club is saying goodbye to one of our members and former club president for 2 years, Josh Almond.

Josh contributed a great deal of time, energy, and passion to our club in helping us expand and grow as a team. We wish Josh the best of luck in his future endeavors.

25-28 MAY 2007

The ASU Field Hockey Team earned a Bronze medal in Moorpark, CA at the annual 2007 Cal Cup tournament.

24-25 MARCH 2007

The ASU Field Hockey Team traveled to Denver for the Mile High Tournament.

The weekend of the 24th and the 25th of March marked an exciting adventure for the Devils Field Hockey Club. While attending the Rocky Mountain Tournament in Denver, CO, they played strong to finish in fourth place.

The weekend brought about both cold weather and potential sunburn. Although Sunday was beautiful at around 60 degrees with few clouds in the sky, Saturday's weather proved highly unsatisfactory with temperatures at 40 degrees as well as sleet and snow throughout the day.

After an intense weekend of play, the Mile High, Colorado, team emerged victorious at the 2006 ASU Cactus Classic Field Hockey Tournament. In addition to the Mile High, Colorado team, seven other mixed teams competed in this year’s tournament, including Tucson, Dallas, Boulder Colorado, the Los Angeles-based Monarcas, the San Diego Short Bus, and two teams from the ASU Sun Devils. The Mile High faced the ASU Sun Devils team in the finals, besting them 2-1. The tournament was a huge success this year and thanks go to all those who participated. Congratulations Mile High!
